Welcome to the Hyde Charitable Trust grants portal


Hyde Charitable Trust (HCT) is part of the Hyde Group and supports the work of the Hyde Foundation, Hyde’s social investment team.

Our funds are targeted to Hyde residents and communities who are most in need. We invest in programmes and services that have the most impact on their lives and futures.

Evolve Fund (New dates for 2024)

Evolve Fund is an open-access fund and is open to organisations that haven’t been funded by HCT before, or in the past five years.

The key priority for this fund is to tackle identified challenges and needs in Hyde communities. See the applicant guidance notes for more information.

The application windows:

  • Round 3 will open for applications between 6 May and 5 June 2024. Geographical priority areas are:
  • East of England – Milton Keynes
    • Develop employability skills – ie by engaging people and supporting them to volunteer, offering skills-based training etc (Supporting aspirations, choice and employability)
  • East of England – Peterborough
    • Develop employability skills – ie by engaging people and supporting them to volunteer, offering skills-based training etc (Supporting aspirations, choice and employability)
  • Kent – Swale
    • Increase community engagement and connections (Connecting communities)
  • London – Brent
    • Develop employability skills – ie by engaging people and supporting them to volunteer, offering skills-based training etc (Supporting aspirations, choice and employability)
  • London – Croydon
    • Develop employability skills – ie by engaging people and supporting them to volunteer, offering skills-based training etc (Supporting aspirations, choice and employability)
  • London – Islington
    • Create stronger links between families and schools across Islington outside the school curriculum (Connecting communities)
  • South East – Chichester city and district (excluding Petworth)
    • Connect and support rurally isolated communities (Connecting communities)
    • Support vulnerable people/communities, ie older people, disabled people and carers (Supporting aspirations)
    • Food insecurity (Connecting communities)

  • Round 4 will open for applications between 7 October and 6 November 2024. Geographical areas will be published in mid/September.


Communities Fund

Our Communities Fund is currently open for invited organisations only and we don’t accept unsolicited funding requests.

The key priority for this fund is to support our community partners to continue delivering existing work that is meeting an identified need and to ensure the sustainability of their provision beyond the grant period.


Growth Fund

Our Growth Fund is currently open for invited organisations only and we don’t accept unsolicited funding requests.

The key priority for this fund is to support our community partners to develop and deliver new provision, or add value to existing provision in Hyde communities.
